Our Team

At The Children's Advocacy Center of Independence County, we have a dedicated team of professionals who work tirelessly to provide child-focused services to the victims of abuse. They work with the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Law Enforcement, Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division (CACD), and the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) to coordinate services during a child abuse investigation.

Our team is committed to helping children and their families heal from trauma and move towards their future in confidence.

OUR MDT
TEAM

The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) is a collaborative effort between the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Law Enforcement, Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division (CACD), and the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) to coordinate services during a child abuse investigation. In order to ensure the safety and protection of children, the law requires that reports of possible abuse of a child be investigated by either DHS or CACD.

The MDT’s primary goal is to reduce the number of times a child has to talk to different professionals thus reducing the amount of trauma the investigation places on the child.

Our Partner Agencies include Law Enforcement, DCFS, and CACD members serving Independence, Stone, Sharp, Izard, and Fulton counties.
